Its purpose

*Option 1: develop a fundraising strategy and oversee its implementation via an action plan.

Monitor the progress of the plan.

Contribute knowledge and experience of fundraising issues as necessary.

*Option 2: take overall responsibility for fundraising ensuring that fundraising targets are agreed with the management committee and treasurer when the budget is set and reporting regulary on the progress towards achieving the fundraising target.

*Option 3: take responsibility for coordinating a series of fundraising events (raffles, sponsored walk, etc) and coordinating the activities of any volunteers delegated to organise individual events.

If delegated any specific authority and if so define it

Delegated authority to liaise with the Finance Officer and relevant Regulating Bodies (ie for door-to-door licences) without prior reference to the committee.

Chaired by a designated member of the management committee,

The designated member(s) of the management committee with lead responsibility for fundraising

The Treasurer

Coordinator

Any other committee member agreed by the committee.

How often/when it will meet,

To meet between each full committee meeting and ad hoc meetings as required.

How it will report (i.e. verbal report to each full committee meeting)

There will be a verbal report to each full committee meeting given by the chair of the sub committee.  Any proposals for action to be costed and presented in writing.

How long it will be in existence

This is a standing committee.
